Abra Crochet Pattern

Supplies/materials:

Poly-fil stuffing, scissors, 3.75 mm crochet hook, plastic yarn needle, metal yarn needle, hot glue gun with glue, medium weight yarn (yellow, brown, ivory, black), ivory felt

Key:

ch = chain

sc = single crochet

1 sc = one single crochet in each stitch until end of round

2 sc = two single crochet in each stitch until end of round 

ss = slip stitch

1 dc = double crochet

(x) = the number of stitches you should have after finishing each round

Dec = decrease stitch

Head/body:

*Rounds; yellow yarn

1. Create a 6 sc ring (6)

2. 2 sc (12)

3. 1 sc (12)

4. 2 sc, 1 sc (18)

5. 1 sc in the first 7 stitches, then 2 sc in the next 3 stitches, then 1 sc in the last 8 stitches (21)

6. 1 sc (21)

7. [Dec, 1 sc] six times (15)

8. Dec three times (12)

*Fill head with polyfil until firm

9. Dec (6)

*Switch to brown yarn

10. 2 sc (12)

11. 1 sc (12)

*Switch to yellow yarn

12. 1 sc (12)

13. 2 sc, 1 sc, 1 sc (16)

14. [Dec, 1 sc] five times (11)

*Fill body with polyfil until firm

15. Dec until bottom is closed

Legs:

*Rounds; yellow yarn

1. Create a 4 sc ring (4)

2-4. 1 sc (4)

5. 2 sc in the first three stitches (7)

Arms:

*Rounds; yellow yarn

1. Create a 3 sc ring (3)

2-5. 1 sc (3)

Tail:

*Rounds; yellow yarn

1. Create a 3 sc ring (3)

2. 2 sc in the first stitch, 1 sc in the second stitch and 2 sc in the third stitch (5)

3. 1 sc (5)

*Switch to brown yarn

4. 1 sc (5)

*Switch to yellow yarn

5. 1 sc (5)

6. 2 sc, 1 sc, 2 sc, 1 sc, 1 sc (7)

7. 2 sc, 1 sc, 1 sc, 2 sc, 1 sc, 1 sc, 1 sc (9)

Ears:

*Rounds; yellow yarn

1. Create a 3 sc ring (3)

2. Alternate between 2 sc and 1 sc until you reach a total stitch count of (8)

*Cut two triangular pieces from the ivory felt and hot glue them to the ears

Shoulders:

*Rounds; brown yarn

1. Create a 5 sc ring (5)

*Don't connect the ring; use hot glue to attach, then use metal yarn needle to pull yarn ends into body to tie off and hide

Mouth:

*Rounds; ivory yarn

1. Create a 3 sc ring (3)

2. 2 sc, 1 sc, 2 sc (5)

*Eyes: For the eyes, use your metal yarn needle and the black yarn to create two diagonal lines.
